Getting started

Your first hour, in order. If you only remember one command, make it /menu.

1. Join and look around the hub

You spawn in the hub. Each gate leads to a different world: walk in to go there. Floating labels over the gates say what each one is. See Worlds and the hub for the full list.

On your first join you get:

  • a Server Guide book;
  • a golden shovel for claiming land;
  • starter tools and $500.

2. Go to Survival

Walk into the Survival gate. The first time, it drops you at a random spot in the wild. After that it brings you back where you left off.

Want a different spot? /rtp (or /wild) teleports you somewhere random. It costs $50 each time.

3. Join a job

Type /jobs and pick one or two. Jobs pay you for things you'd do anyway:

Job Paid for
Builder Earns money for building structures.
Digger Earns money for terraforming the world.
Enchanter Earns money enchanting weapons.
Explorer Earns money from exploring map.
Farmer Earns money farming crops.
Fisherman Earns money from fishing.
Hunter Earns money killing animals and monsters.
Miner Earns money mining minerals and ores.
Woodcutter Earns money felling and planting trees

You can hold 2 jobs at Stone rank, more as you rank up. Each job also has a daily quest: /jobs quests. Exact pay: Jobs and pay.

4. Claim your base

Before you build anything you care about, claim it. Hold the golden shovel, right-click one corner of your area, then the opposite corner. You start with 1,000 claim blocks. Details: Land and plots.

Lost the shovel? /claimtool gives you a new one (once an hour).

5. Set a home

/sethome saves where you're standing. /home takes you back. Stone rank gets 2 homes, more with each rank.

6. Make money and rank up

  • Sell what you gather with /shop, or /sell to sell your whole inventory. Raw ores, diamonds and coal sell with no daily limit.
  • Claim your kits every day with /kits: daily, weekly and monthly rewards for your rank.
  • When you have $5,000, buy Copper in /ranks. Then keep climbing.

Copper takes about 2 hours of play. Netherite is a long-term goal: roughly 80 to 100 hours.
